Minutes of the Councilors Meeting

Present: Audrey Seasholtz, Donald Kuhn, Peter Cobbett, Sean Donevan, Gary Dunbar, Verne Hulce, Keith Lookingland, Audrey Seasholtz, Paul Walker, Yvonne Will-Murphy,

Absent: Amy Goodwin, Kristi Haik-Creuger, Lisa Baker, Kalpana Merchant, Laura Smale

1. Brief reports from Lookingland (Treasurer), Cobbett (Secretary) and Dunbar (President).Perhaps the most outstanding comment was that MISFN 2000 meeting attendance was 200+ and the bank account looks good (approximately $8000 with some income/outgoing from the meeting still in process!!)

3. Plans for Annual Meeting
Cobbett & Lookingland, meeting co-organizers, presented their plans for the Annual Meeting of MISFN to be held 5/24/2001 at the Student Union Building on the campus of MSU.They confirmed the plan for a mini-symposium at the Annual Meeting with three speakers (to take the place of a presentation by a single speaker) to be focussed in some way on stress.Considerable discussion followed.The general program for the meeting used for the first time in May 2000 will be adopted in May 2001.

4. Dunbar reminded Council that Council elections will occur at the Annual Meeting.Nominees for the open positions must be found!!
